I took my daughter to check out the new Urs Fischer exhibit down at the MOCA on Grand. The art was expensive looking and mildly interesting but there really wasn’t enough of it to justify the twelve dollar entrance fee. Would it have killed you to have the fabricators make a few more plastic hands and cats, Urs? The only thing that really stuck with me after the exhibit was how much better it looked on Facebook. These pedestrian Koons knockoffs really popped when you put your kid in front of them and posted it (which everyone there was doing). This appears to be the post-Art in the Streets future of art as a backdrop and photographic evidence of one’s ability to occasionally do something cultural.
